Noise barriers for padel club, Leuven
Installation of noise barriers around a padel club with 8 outdoor courts in Leuven. The club had only received its permit on the condition that effective noise control measures were implemented.
The challenge
The new padel club with 8 outdoor courts was located 50 metres from a residential area. The building permit included strict noise conditions: a maximum of 45 dB(A) at the nearest home, including during evening hours.
Our solution
We installed 160 metres of noise barriers around the outdoor courts. The barriers, with a height of 6 metres, combine absorption panels (to prevent reflection). Transparent sections were incorporated to allow for natural light.

The result
The club met all noise conditions of the permit. Measurements showed 43 dB(A) at the nearest home. The club was able to use all 8 courts, including during evening hours.
