Assess more than the battery containers. PCS units, fans and transformers can each contribute to environmental noise. Request manufacturer acoustic source data for the relevant operating modes, including night operation. These data and the distance to homes form the starting point.

Send your layout and acoustic study or the targets set by your consultant. We discuss barrier position, length, height and construction. Screening close to the source and along the site boundary are different options: space, sound direction and access determine the appropriate solution.
Permits in Belgium, Luxembourg and France
VLAREM is relevant in Flanders. Wallonia, Brussels, Luxembourg and France have their own applicable rules and permit conditions. Your consultant should establish the assessment and measurement positions for the site. There is no universal night limit or guaranteed decibel reduction for every battery park.
Specifications and contractor coordination
Include the required barrier location, dimensions and finish. Coordinate foundations and supports with the site conditions, and reserve the space required by the equipment supplier for cooling, maintenance and safety. Request available technical sheets for the chosen product; fire and structural requirements need project-specific checks.
