Use acoustic data for the transformer and cooling equipment, not just a general noise level. The frequency spectrum helps your consultant assess disturbance and measures. Ground-transmitted vibration needs a different assessment from airborne sound; a barrier does not automatically solve it.

Noise barrier or acoustic enclosure?

A standalone barrier limits the direct sound path. An enclosure screens several sides but requires careful consideration of air supply and heat removal. The right solution depends on location, source height, access and equipment supplier requirements.

Cooling, safety and maintenance

Agree ventilation needs, safety distances and inspection access with the electrical installer or grid operator. Panels, openings and doors are designed accordingly. Electrical safety, fire requirements and structural criteria must be confirmed for each project.

Acoustic study and specification

Send the study, local permit conditions and required barrier position. Include product requirements and available foundations. Request technical sheets for the chosen configuration. Required reduction and any verification measurement follow from the project, not a general fixed-decibel promise.
