A car wash often runs from sunrise until late in the evening. High-pressure jets, motors, blowers and drying tunnels combine into a sharp, penetrating sound that travels far into nearby residential areas. Especially close to housing or major roads, this leads to repeated municipal complaints and operational issues. We install sound-absorbing walls along the property line or around the wash bays, tailored to the site and the applicable VLAREM standards.

Indoor acoustics inside the car wash

The inside of a car wash is typically made of concrete, tiles and metal: hard materials that fully reflect sound. The result is an extremely reverberant space where staff are continuously exposed to harmful noise levels. By fitting absorbing wall cladding panels on walls and ceilings, we halve the reverberation time and significantly lower the room level. More pleasant for customers and safer for your staff.

Noise-Reducer Car wash Edition with Magnelis R3T5

Standard Noise-Reducer panels use a perforated front sheet and an absorbing core. For car washes we developed a dedicated variant: the Car wash Edition. We replace the classic perforated mesh with a perforated Magnelis sheet (R3T5: round 3 mm holes on a 5 mm pitch). Magnelis is a steel with a unique zinc-aluminium-magnesium coating that is up to 10 times more corrosion-resistant than classic galvanised steel, even under permanent exposure to water, cleaning agents and salt mist. This keeps the panels visually and functionally intact for years in the most aggressive car wash environment.
